Because it’s a hybrid mattress, the DreamCloud fulfills many of our standards for what a excellent bed should provide. With eight exceptional layers of comfort and support, the DreamCloud utilizes all of the right materials in its construction. Dreamcloud Warranty
From the tufted cashmere cover that gives good airflow, to the gel memory foam at the uppermost comfort layer, the DreamCloud was made to deliver a cooler night’s sleep. Below that are a mixture of polyurethane foam and latex layers, meaning this mattress includes better quality relaxation materials than most other hybrid mattresses.
Even though it uses multiple memory foam layers, there is no hug or significant contouring to the bed. If you are searching to sink into a mattress, proceed from the DreamCloud.
A pocketed coil support core keeps you aligned all night long, especially for all you back sleepers out there.

Construction Dreamcloud Warranty
The DreamCloud features a tall profile for a mattress at a whopping 15 inches. The eight-layer construction is broken down to foam and wrapped coil parts, which operate in tandem to provide the sleeper with a firm innerspring lift and lots of comfy pressure relief.
Given all of the different materials at play , I’m stoked to get into these layers to see how well they interact with one another. Dreamcloud Warranty
Cover – The cover is composed of a cashmere and polyester mix for a luxuriously soft texture up top. It’s also quilted with memory foam, which provides the sleeper with immediate pressure relief.
Foam Layers – Under the cover, you will find three thin layers of polyurethane. While these segments are soft to the touch and provide some satisfying sinkage, they also respond quickly to pressure, so that you won’t feel stuck in the bed. The center of these three layers is particularly essential for the temperature regulation of the DreamCloud as it’s made up of perforated latex foam. Latex in general is good at releasing heat, so the inclusion of those tiny ventilations promotes more cooling.
Pocketed Coils – The base layer of foam transitions to the firmer support section of the mattress, which is made up of a pocketed coil system. These individually wrapped springs provide the mattress excellent rebound and assist disperse motion throughout the structure. The coils also aid in regulating temperatures as the spaces between them permit continuous air flow.
Foundation Layer – A thin layer of high-density polyfoam lies at the base of the mattress, with the main function of cradling the pocketed coils and offering a solid foundation for the whole mattress.
After taking a peek at the construction of the DreamCloud, let us talk about the firmness and feel. I started off by applying light hand pressure into the mattress and instantly felt the soft foam of the quilted cover and top layers. My hands sunk into the material and I could feel some instant pressure relief. Pushing in farther, I began to interact with the pocketed coils beneath and experienced a pleasant lift from these springs.
At this point I want to note that individuals of different body types and shapes will feel firmness differently. As opposed to giving just my opinion on the general firmness level of the mattress, I enlisted three additional people to present their opinion too. This will give you a better feeling of the firmness range you can see from the mattress.
As you can see in the chart above, the testers were in agreement about the firmness of this mattress, giving it a mean rating of 7.75. Compare this to the industry standard of 6.5 for medium firmness and it is apparent that this bed is pretty firm.
I personally gave the bed a 7.5 and concur with the other testers that it is definitely a solid bed. At the same time you’ll feel some slight sinking because of the plush foam top layers, the individually wrapped coils at the center will lift you out of this mattress and make you feel like you’re sleeping on top of the mattress.
As opposed to simply explaining the feel of this DreamCloud to you, I wanted to give a visual representation of where somebody may feel pressure points form while lying on the mattress. To do this, I placed a pressure map above the bed and lied on my back, side, and tummy. You can find the results on the picture below where pressure is denoted from blue (low pressure) to red (high pressure).
Back – When on my backside, my weight was evenly distributed across the mattress, therefore I didn’t feel as though I was sinking into the bed in any way. The quilted cover gave quality relief at my lumbar area and the pocketed coils helped lift me out of the bed and keep my back in alignment.
Side – As you can see in the graph above, after I rolled onto my side, I began to feel pressure forming at my hips and shoulders. However, I felt supported and the top foam layers relieved what discomfort I felt in this position.
Stomach – Switching over to my stomach, I believed the DreamCloud did a great job of lifting my hips upward and from the mattress, which can be key for stomach sleepers. I should mention that I managed to transition across these positions with comparative ease.
If you plan on sharing your bed with a spouse, you will want to know what it’ll feel like when the other individual crawls out of bed in the morning or tosses around during the night. This next test is intended to demonstrate the intensity of motion that is detectable from 1 side of the mattress from the other. Dreamcloud Warranty
To illustrate this motion transfer, I dropped a 10 pound steel ball from heights of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and then quantified the disturbance it generated: the bigger the lines, the larger the disturbance.
The DreamCloud shows a small amount of disturbance for the 4 inch drop, which simulates somebody tossing around and adjusting their position on the opposite side of the mattress. While the 8 and 12 inch drops show slightly larger spikes, I’d still consider the mattress to be pretty good at isolating motion, as a result of its individually wrapped coils. This means you’re not likely to be too disturbed by your mattress partner’s midnight shimmies, which makes this an awesome option for couples.
When purchasing a new mattress, most people wish to know whether they will feel like they’re sinking”into” the mattress or laying “on top” of it. To visualize this sinkage, I placed 4 balls of varying sizes and densities (a 6 pound medicine ball, a 10 pound steel ball, a 50 lb medicine ball, and a 100 pound medicine ball) on the mattress and measured how much they compacted the top.
The variations in size, weight and density are meant to mimic different body parts and different sized sleepers. Dreamcloud Warranty
– 6 lb medicine ball: 1.5 inches of sinkage.
– 10 lb steel ball: 2 inches of sinkage.
– 50 lb medicine ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
– 100 lb medicine ball: 5.5 inches of sinkage.
Even though you’re likely to experience some instant sinkage in the soft foam at the top, by the time you sink through these layers, you are going to hit the wrapped coils and experience amazing support. This combo will interest a vast range of sleepers, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers in particular.
If you’re going to share your mattress with a spouse and need to utilize the entire surface area of the mattress, then it is likely to be crucial that you consider the amount of edge support it’ll give you.
I am particularly interested to see whether the DreamCloud will endure the exact same fate as other compressed bed-in-a-box mattresses which fail to live up to the edge support of more traditional innerspring models.
Laying on my back, I felt as supported at the edge of the bed as I did at the center. Pressing closer to the side, I experienced a bit of compression due to the highest foam layers, but nothing too dramatic.
Shifting to my side, I once again noticed compression in the foam layers, but it did not carry over into the wrapped coil system beneath. This system, along with the polyfoam edge support round the mattress, did a good job of supporting my body.
In this position, I wanted to simulate what it would feel like to be sitting on top of the bed in the morning when you’re tying your shoes and getting ready for work. A lot of foam mattresses undergo a lot of compression in this position, but the DreamCloud really held up fairly good.
