Because it’s a hybrid mattress, the DreamCloud meets a number of our standards for what a quality bed must provide. With eight unique layers of comfort and support, the DreamCloud uses all of the right materials in its construction. Dreamcloud Nattress Reviews
From the tufted cashmere cover that provides great airflow, to the gel memory foam in the uppermost comfort layer, the DreamCloud is designed to promote a cooler night’s sleep. Resting below are a mixture of polyurethane foam and latex layers, meaning this mattress contains better quality comfort materials than most other hybrid beds.
Despite the fact that it uses multiple memory foam layers, there is not any hug or significant shaping to the bed. If you’re looking to sink into a mattress, then move on from the DreamCloud.
A pocketed coil support center keeps you aligned all night long, especially for all you back sleepers on the market.

Construction Dreamcloud Nattress Reviews
The DreamCloud features a tall profile for a mattress at a humongous 15 inches. The eight-layer structure is broken down into foam and wrapped coil components, which work in tandem to supply the sleeper with a firm innerspring lift and plenty of comfortable pressure relief.
Given all the distinct materials at play , I am stoked to get into these layers to see how well they interact with one another. Dreamcloud Nattress Reviews
Cover – The cover is composed of a cashmere and polyester blend for a soft texture up top. It’s also built with memory foam, which provides the sleeper with immediate relaxation.
Foam Layers – Below the cover, you will find three thin layers of foam. While these sections are soft to the touch and provide some satisfying sinkage, they also respond quickly to pressure, so you won’t feel stuck in the bed. The center of the three layers is particularly important for the temperature regulation of the DreamCloud as it’s comprised of perforated latex foam. Latex in general is great at releasing heat, so the inclusion of these tiny ventilations encourages more cooling.
Pocketed Coils – The bottom layer of foam transitions to the firmer support segment of this mattress, which is made up of a pocketed coil system. These individually wrapped springs provide the mattress excellent rebound and assist to disperse motion throughout the structure. The coils also aid in regulating temperature as the distances between them permit continuous air flow.
Foundation Layer – A thin layer of high-density polyfoam lies in the bottom of the mattress, with the main use of cradling the pocketed coils and providing a sound foundation for the entire mattress.
After taking a look at the construction of the DreamCloud, let us talk about the firmness and feel. I started off by applying light hand pressure to the mattress and immediately felt the soft foam of the quilted cover and first layers. My hands sunk into the material and I could sense some instantaneous pressure relief. Pushing in further, I started to interact with the pocketed coils beneath and experienced a nice lift from these springs.
Now I’d like to note that people of different body types and shapes will feel firmness differently. Rather than giving just my opinion on the general firmness level of this DreamCloud, I enlisted three additional individuals to present their opinion too. This will provide you with a better feeling of the firmness range you may see from the bed.
As you can find in the graph above, the testers were in agreement about the stability of the mattress, giving it a mean rating of 7.75. Compare this to the market norm of 6.5 for medium firmness and it is clear that this mattress is pretty firm.
I personally gave the bed a 7.5 and concur with the other testers that it’s definitely a good mattress. While you’ll feel some slight sinking from the plush foam top layers, the individually wrapped coils at the center will lift you out of this mattress and make you feel like you’re sleeping on top of this mattress.
As opposed to simply describing the feel of this DreamCloud to you, I wanted to give a visual representation of where somebody may feel pressure points form while lying on it. To do so, I placed a pressure map above the bed and lied on my backside, and tummy. You can see the outcomes on the picture below where pressure is represented from blue (low pressure) to red (high pressure).
Back – When on my back, my weight was equally dispersed across the mattress, therefore I did not feel as though I was sinking into the mattress at all. The quilted cover provided quality relief in my lumbar area and the pocketed coils helped lift me from the bed and keep my back in alignment.
Side – As you can see in the chart above, after I rolled onto my side, I started to feel pressure forming in my shoulders and hips. However, I still felt supported and the top foam layers alleviated what discomfort I felt in this position.
Stomach – Shifting over to my belly, I believed the DreamCloud did a great job of lifting my hips up and from the mattress, which is key for stomach sleepers. I should mention that I managed to transition across these positions with relative ease.
If you plan on sharing your bed with a partner, you’ll want to know what it’ll feel like when another person crawls out of bed in the morning or tosses around at night. This next test is intended to demonstrate the high level of movement that is detectable from 1 side of the mattress from another. Dreamcloud Nattress Reviews
To show you this motion transfer, I dropped a 10 lb steel ball from heights of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and then measured the disturbance it generated: the larger the lines, the bigger the disturbance.
The DreamCloud demonstrates a small amount of disturbance for the four inch drop, which simulates somebody tossing around and adjusting their position on the other side of the mattress. While the 8 and 12 inch drops reveal slightly bigger spikes, I would still consider the mattress to be quite good at isolating motion, thanks to its individually wrapped coils. This means that you’re not likely to be too disturbed by your mattress mate’s midnight shimmies, which makes this an awesome option for couples.
While purchasing a new mattress, most men and women wish to know whether they’ll feel as though they’re sinking”into” the bed or laying “on top” of it. To visualize this sinkage, I placed 4 balls of varying sizes and densities (a 6 pound medicine ball, a 10 lb steel ball, a 50 pound medicine ball, along with a 100 pound medicine ball) on the mattress then measured how much they compacted the top.
The variations in size, weight and density are meant to mimic different body parts and different sized sleepers. Dreamcloud Nattress Reviews
– 6 lb medicine ball: 1.5 inches of sinkage.
– 10 lb steel ball: 2 inches of sinkage.
– 50 lb medicine ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
– 100 lb medicine ball: 5.5 inches of sinkage.
Even though you’re going to experience some instant sinkage from the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through those layers, you are going to hit the wrapped coils and experience amazing support. This combo will appeal to a wide assortment of sleepers, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers the most.
If you are going to share your mattress with a spouse and will need to use the whole surface area of the mattress, then it is going to be crucial that you consider the amount of edge support it will give you.
I’m particularly interested to see whether the DreamCloud will endure the same fate as other compacted bed-in-a-box mattresses that fail to fulfill the edge support of more conventional innerspring models.
Lying on my back, I felt as supported in the edge of the bed as I did at the center. Pressing closer to the side, I felt a bit of compression due to the highest foam layers, but nothing too dramatic.
Changing to my side, I once again noticed compression in the foam layers, but it didn’t carry over to the coil system below. This system, together with the polyfoam edge support around the mattress, did a good job of supporting my body.
In this position, I wanted to simulate what it would feel like to be sitting on top of the mattress in the morning when you’re tying your shoes and getting ready for work. A lot of foam mattresses undergo severe compression in this position, but the DreamCloud really held up fairly good.
