As a hybrid mattress, the DreamCloud fulfills many of our standards for what a excellent bed should provide. With eight exceptional layers of support and comfort, the DreamCloud utilizes all the proper materials in its construction. Dreamcloud Manufacturering Plant
From the tufted cashmere cover that provides great airflow, to the gel memory foam at the uppermost comfort layer, the DreamCloud was made to deliver a cooler night’s sleep. Below that are a mixture of polyurethane foam and latex layers, meaning this mattress contains better quality comfort materials than most other hybrid beds.
Despite the fact that it uses multiple memory foam layers, there’s no hug or significant shaping to the bed. If you are looking to sink into a mattress, then move on from the DreamCloud.
A pocketed coil support core keeps you aligned all night long, especially so for all you back sleepers out there.

Construction Dreamcloud Manufacturering Plant
The DreamCloud features an astoundingly tall profile for a mattress at a whopping 15 inches. The eight-layer structure is broken down to foam and wrapped coil components, which operate in tandem to supply the sleeper with a firm innerspring lift and lots of comfy pressure relief.
Given all the different materials at play , I am stoked to dive into these layers to understand how well they interact with one another. Dreamcloud Manufacturering Plant
Cover – The cover is composed of a cashmere and polyester blend for a soft texture up top. Additionally, it is built with memory foam, which provides the sleeper with immediate pressure relief.
Foam Layers – Under the cover, you will find three thin layers of foam. While these segments are soft to the touch and supply some satisfying sinkage, they also respond quickly to pressure, so you won’t feel trapped in the mattress. The center of these three layers is especially essential because of the temperature regulation of the DreamCloud as it’s comprised of perforated latex foam. Latex generally is good at releasing heat, so the addition of these tiny ventilations promotes more cooling.
Pocketed Coils – The base layer of foam transitions to the firmer support segment of the mattress, which is composed of a pocketed coil system. These individually wrapped springs give the mattress excellent bounce and help to disperse motion throughout the mattress. The coils also assist in regulating temperatures as the distances between them permit steady air flow.
Foundation Layer – A thin layer of high-density polyfoam is found at the base of the mattress, with the major function of cradling the pocketed coils and offering a solid foundation for the entire mattress.
After taking a look at the construction of the DreamCloud, let us talk about the firmness and texture. I started off by applying mild hand pressure into the bed and instantly felt the soft foam of the quilted cover and top layers. My hands sunk into the material and I could sense some instant pressure relief. Pushing in farther, I began to interact with the pocketed coils beneath and experienced a nice lift from the springs.
At this point I’d like to let you know that people of different body shapes and types will sense firmness differently. As opposed to giving only my opinion on the overall firmness level of this DreamCloud, I enlisted three other people to give their view as well. This will give you a much better feeling of the firmness range you may see from the bed.
As you can find in the chart above, the testers were pretty much in agreement about the stability of this DreamCloud, giving it a mean score of 7.75. Compared to the industry norm of 6.5 for moderate firmness and it’s apparent that this bed is really firm.
Personally, I gave the bed a 7.5 and agree with the rest of the testers that it is definitely a good mattress. At the same time you’ll feel some slight sinking from the plush foam top layers, the individually wrapped coils in the core will lift you out of this bed and make you feel like you’re sleeping on top of the mattress.
As opposed to simply explaining the feel of the mattress for you, I chose to provide a visual representation of where somebody may feel pressure points shape while lying on it. To do this, I put a pressure map on top of the bed and lied on my back, side, and stomach. You can find the results on the image below where pressure is represented from blue (low pressure) to red (high pressure).
Back – Once on my backside, my weight was evenly distributed across the mattress, so I didn’t feel as though I was sinking into the bed in any way. The quilted cover provided quality relief at my lumbar region and the pocketed coils helped lift me out of the mattress and keep my spine in alignment.
Side – As you can see in the graph above, after I rolled onto my side, I began to feel pressure forming at my hips and shoulders. However, I felt supported while the top foam layers relieved what discomfort I felt in this position.
Stomach – Switching over to my belly, I thought that the DreamCloud did a great job of lifting my hips up and from the mattress, which can be crucial for stomach sleepers. I should mention that I managed to transition across these positions with comparative ease.
If you intend on sharing your mattress with a partner, you will want to know what it’ll feel like if the other individual crawls out of bed in the morning or tosses around at nighttime. This next test is intended to demonstrate the intensity of motion that is detectable from 1 side of the mattress from another. Dreamcloud Manufacturering Plant
To illustrate this motion transfer, I dropped a 10 pound steel ball from heights of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and then quantified the disturbance it generated: the bigger the lines, the bigger the disturbance.
The DreamCloud demonstrates a little bit of disturbance for the 4 inch drop, which simulates someone tossing around and adjusting their position on the other side of the mattress. While the 8 and 12 inch drops show slightly bigger spikes, I’d still regard the mattress to be pretty good at isolating movement, thanks to the individually wrapped coils. This indicates you’re unlikely to be overly disturbed by your bed mate’s midnight shimmies, which makes this an awesome solution for couples.
When purchasing a new mattress, most men and women want to know whether they’ll feel like they’re sinking”into” the bed or lying “on top” of it. To picture this sinkage, I put four balls of different sizes and densities (a 6 lb medicine ball, a 10 pound steel ball, a 50 lb medicine ball, and a 100 pound medicine ball) on the mattress and measured how much they compacted the top.
The variations in size, density and weight are supposed to mimic distinct body parts and different sized sleepers. Dreamcloud Manufacturering Plant
– 6 lb medicine ball: 1.5 inches of sinkage.
– 10 lb steel ball: 2 inches of sinkage.
– 50 lb medicine ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
– 100 lb medicine ball: 5.5 inches of sinkage.
While you’re going to experience some immediate sinkage from the soft foam at the top, by the time you sink through these layers, you’ll find the wrapped coils and experience amazing support. This combo will appeal to a vast assortment of sleepers, but will suit stomach and back sleepers the most.
If you’re going to share your bed with a partner and will need to use the entire surface area of the mattress, it’s likely to be crucial for you to consider the amount of edge support it’ll give you.
I am especially interested to see if the DreamCloud will suffer the same fate as other compressed bed-in-a-box mattresses which fail to fulfill the edge support of more conventional innerspring models.
Laying on my back, I felt as supported in the edge of the bed as I did at the center. Going closer to the side, I felt a little compression because of the highest foam layers, but nothing too dramatic.
Shifting to my side, I once again noticed compression in the foam layers, but it didn’t carry over into the wrapped coil system beneath. This system, together with the polyfoam edge support around the mattress, did a great job of supporting my body.
In this position, I wanted to simulate what it’d feel like to be sitting on the bed in the morning when you’re lacing up your shoes and getting ready for work. A lot of foam mattresses experience severe compression in this position, but the DreamCloud actually held up fairly good.
