As a hybrid mattress, the DreamCloud fulfills a number of our criteria for what a quality bed should have. With eight exceptional layers of support and comfort, the DreamCloud uses all the right materials in its construction. Dreamcloud Customer Support
From the tufted cashmere cover that gives great airflow, to the gel memory foam at the uppermost comfort layer, the DreamCloud is designed to promote a cooler night’s sleep. Resting below are a mix of memory foam and latex layers, meaning this bed contains better quality relaxation materials than most other hybrid mattresses.
Despite the fact that it uses multiple memory foam layers, there’s no hug or significant shaping to the bed. If you’re looking to sink into a mattress, then proceed from the DreamCloud.
A pocketed coil support core keeps you aligned all night long, particularly so for all you back sleepers on the market.

Construction Dreamcloud Customer Support
The DreamCloud has an astoundingly tall profile for a mattress at a humongous 15 inches. The eight-layer structure is broken down to foam and wrapped coil parts, which operate in tandem to provide the sleeper with a strong innerspring lift and lots of comfortable pressure relief.
Given all of the different materials at play here, I am stoked to get into these layers to see how well they interact together. Dreamcloud Customer Support
Cover – The cover is composed of a cashmere and polyester mix for a luxuriously soft feel up top. It’s also built with memory foam, which provides the sleeper with instant relaxation.
Foam Layers – Below the cover, you’ll discover three thin layers of polyurethane. While these sections are soft to the touch and provide some pleasing sinkage, they also react quickly to pressure, so you won’t feel stuck in the bed. The center of the three layers is particularly essential because of the temperature regulation of the DreamCloud as it is comprised of perforated latex foam. Latex in general is good at releasing heat, so the inclusion of those small ventilations promotes more cooling.
Pocketed Coils – The bottom layer of polyurethane transitions into the firmer support section of the mattress, which is composed of a pocketed coil system. These individually wrapped springs provide the bed excellent bounce and help to disperse motion throughout the mattress. The coils also assist in regulating temperatures as the spaces between them allow for continuous air flow.
Foundation Layer – A thin layer of high-density polyfoam lies in the bottom of the mattress, with the major function of cradling the pocketed coils and providing a sound foundation for the whole mattress.
After having a peek at the construction of the DreamCloud, let us talk about the firmness and feel. I started off by applying light hand pressure into the mattress and instantly felt the soft foam of the quilted cover and top layers. My hands sunk into the material and I could sense some instantaneous pressure relief. Pushing in further, I began to interact with all the pocketed coils beneath and experienced a nice lift from these springs.
Now I’d like to note that people of different body shapes and types will sense firmness differently. As opposed to giving just my opinion on the general firmness level of this mattress, I invited three other people to give their opinion too. This will give you a better feeling of the firmness range you may expect from the mattress.
As you can find in the graph above, the testers were pretty much in agreement about the stability of this mattress, giving it a mean score of 7.75. Compared to the industry norm of 6.5 for moderate firmness and it’s clear that this bed is really firm.
I personally gave the mattress a 7.5 and agree with the rest of the testers that it’s definitely a good mattress. At the same time you’ll feel some small sinking because of the plush foam top layers, the individually wrapped coils at the core will lift you out of this mattress and make you feel as though you’re sleeping on top of this mattress.
Rather than simply explaining the feel of the DreamCloud for you, I chose to provide a visual representation of where somebody may feel pressure points shape while lying on it. To do this, I placed a pressure map on top of the mattress and lied on my backside, and tummy. You can find the outcomes on the image below where pressure is represented from blue (low pressure) to red (high pressure).
Back – When on my back, my weight was evenly distributed across the mattress, therefore I did not feel like I was sinking into the mattress in any way. The quilted cover gave quality relief at my lumbar region and the pocketed coils helped lift me out of the bed and keep my back in alignment.
Side – As you can see in the graph above, after I rolled onto my side, I began to feel pressure forming at my hips and shoulders. However, I still felt supported while the top foam layers alleviated what discomfort I felt in this position.
Stomach – Switching over to my stomach, I thought the DreamCloud did a fantastic job of lifting my hips up and out of the bed, which can be key for stomach sleepers. I should mention that I managed to shift across these positions with relative ease.
If you intend on sharing your mattress with a partner, you will want to find out what it’ll feel like if another person crawls out of bed in the break of dawn or tosses around during the nighttime. This next test is meant to demonstrate the high level of movement that is detectable from 1 side of the mattress from the other. Dreamcloud Customer Support
To show you this motion transfer, I dropped a 10 pound steel ball from heights of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and measured the disturbance it caused: the larger the lines, the larger the disturbance.
The DreamCloud shows a little bit of disturbance for the four inch drop, which simulates someone rolling around and adjusting their position on the other side of the bed. While the 8 and 12 inch drops show slightly larger spikes, I’d still consider the mattress to be pretty good at isolating motion, as a result of the individually wrapped coils. This indicates that you’re not likely to be overly disturbed by your bed partner’s midnight shimmies, making this a great option for couples.
When purchasing a new bed, the majority of men and women want to know whether they will feel as though they’re sinking”into” the mattress or laying “on top” of it. To picture this sinkage, I placed four balls of varying sizes and densities (a 6 lb medicine ball, a 10 lb steel ball, a 50 lb medicine ball, and a 100 lb medicine ball) on the mattress and quantified how much they compressed the surface.
The variations in size, density and weight are meant to mimic distinct body parts and different sized sleepers. Dreamcloud Customer Support
– 6 lb medicine ball: 1.5 inches of sinkage.
– 10 lb steel ball: 2 inches of sinkage.
– 50 lb medicine ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
– 100 lb medicine ball: 5.5 inches of sinkage.
While you’re likely to encounter some immediate sinkage in the soft foam at the top, by the time you sink through these layers, you are going to hit the wrapped coils and experience fantastic support. This combination will appeal to a wide range of sleepers, but will satisfy stomach and back sleepers in particular.
If you are going to share your mattress with a spouse and need to use the entire surface area of the mattress, it’s likely to be crucial that you consider the amount of edge support it’ll give you.
I am especially interested to see whether the DreamCloud will endure the exact same fate as other compacted bed-in-a-box mattresses which fail to live up to the edge support of more traditional innerspring models.
Laying on my back, I felt as supported in the edge of the mattress as I did at the middle. Going closer to the side, I experienced a bit of compression due to the top foam layers, but nothing too dramatic.
Changing to my side, I noticed compression in the foam layers, but it didn’t carry over to the coil system beneath. This system, together with the polyfoam edge support around the mattress, did a good job of supporting my body.
In this position, I wished to simulate what it’d feel like to be sitting on top of the bed in the morning when you are lacing up your shoes and getting ready for the day. A lot of foam mattresses experience a lot of compression in this position, but the DreamCloud actually held up fairly good.
