As a hybrid mattress, the DreamCloud fulfills many of our criteria for what a quality bed must provide. With eight unique layers of comfort and support, the DreamCloud utilizes all the right materials in its construction. Dreamcloud Complaints Reviews
From the tufted cashmere cover that provides great airflow, to the gel memory foam at the uppermost comfort layer, the DreamCloud is designed to deliver a cooler night’s sleep. Resting below are a mix of memory foam and latex layers, meaning this mattress includes better quality relaxation materials than most other hybrid mattresses.
Despite the fact that it uses multiple memory foam layers, there is no hug or significant contouring to the bed. If you are searching to sink into a mattress, then proceed from the DreamCloud.
A pocketed coil support core keeps you aligned all night long, especially so for all you back sleepers out there.

Construction Dreamcloud Complaints Reviews
The DreamCloud features a tall profile for a mattress at a humongous 15 inches. The eight-layer structure is broken down to foam and wrapped coil components, which operate in tandem to supply the sleeper with a firm innerspring lift and plenty of comfortable pressure relief.
Given all of the different materials at play , I’m stoked to dive into these layers to see how well they interact together. Dreamcloud Complaints Reviews
Cover – The cover is made up of a cashmere and polyester mix for a luxuriously soft feel up top. It’s also built with memory foam, which supplies the sleeper with immediate pressure relief.
Foam Layers – Below the cover, you will discover three thin layers of foam. While these segments are soft to the touch and provide some pleasing sinkage, they also react quickly to pressure, so that you won’t feel trapped in the mattress. The center of the three layers is particularly important for the temperature regulation of the DreamCloud as it’s comprised of perforated latex foam. Latex generally is great at releasing heat, so the addition of those tiny ventilations encourages even more cooling.
Pocketed Coils – The base layer of foam transitions to the firmer support section of the mattress, which is composed of a pocketed coil system. These individually wrapped springs provide the bed excellent bounce and help disperse motion throughout the mattress. The coils also assist in regulating temperatures as the spaces between them permit steady air flow.
Foundation Layer – A thin layer of high-density polyfoam lies in the bottom of the mattress, with the major use of cradling the pocketed coils and offering a sound foundation for the entire mattress.
After taking a look at the construction of the DreamCloud, let’s chat about the firmness and feel. I started off by applying light hand pressure to the mattress and instantly felt the soft foam of the quilted cover and first layers. My hand flowed into the material and I could feel some instant pressure relief. Pushing in further, I began to interact with all the pocketed coils beneath and experienced a nice lift from these springs.
At this point I want to note that people of different body shapes and types will sense firmness differently. Rather than giving only my view on the general firmness level of the DreamCloud, I enlisted three other people to give their opinion as well. This will give you a much better feeling of the firmness range you may see from the mattress.
As you can find in the chart above, the testers were in agreement about the stability of the DreamCloud, giving it an average rating of 7.75. Compared to the industry norm of 6.5 for medium firmness and it is apparent that this bed is really firm.
Personally, I gave the bed a 7.5 and concur with the rest of the testers that it’s definitely a good mattress. At the same time you’ll feel some slight sinking because of the lavish foam top layers, the individually wrapped coils in the center will lift you from the mattress and make you feel like you’re sleeping on top of this mattress.
Rather than simply describing the feel of the DreamCloud to you, I chose to provide a visual representation of where somebody may feel pressure points form while lying on it. To do this, I put a pressure map on top of the bed and lied on my backside, and stomach. You can find the results on the image below where pressure is denoted from blue (low pressure) to red (high pressure).
Back – When on my back, my weight was evenly dispersed across the mattress, therefore I did not feel like I was sinking into the bed in any way. The quilted cover gave quality relief at my lumbar region and the pocketed coils helped lift me from the bed and keep my spine in alignment.
Side – As you can see in the chart above, after I rolled onto my side, I started to feel pressure forming at my shoulders and hips. But, I felt supported while the top foam layers relieved what distress I felt in this position.
Stomach – Shifting over to my belly, I believed the DreamCloud did a great job of lifting my hips upward and from the bed, which is crucial for stomach sleepers. I should mention that I was able to shift across these positions with relative ease.
If you plan on sharing your mattress with a partner, you’ll want to find out what it’ll feel like when another person crawls out of bed in the morning or tosses around at nighttime. This next test is meant to demonstrate the intensity of motion that’s detectable from 1 side of the mattress from the other. Dreamcloud Complaints Reviews
To show you this motion transfer, I dropped a 10 lb steel ball from heights of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and measured the disturbance it generated: the larger the lines, the bigger the disturbance.
The DreamCloud demonstrates a small amount of disturbance for the 4 inch drop, which simulates someone rolling around and adjusting their position on the opposite side of the bed. While the 8 and 12 inch drops reveal slightly bigger spikes, I would still regard the mattress to be pretty good at isolating movement, thanks to its individually wrapped coils. This indicates that you’re unlikely to be overly disturbed by your bed partner’s midnight shimmies, making this an awesome option for couples.
While purchasing a new bed, most people wish to know whether they will feel as though they’re sinking”into” the bed or laying “on top” of it. To picture this sinkage, I placed four balls of different sizes and densities (a 6 pound medicine ball, a 10 lb steel ball, a 50 pound medicine ball, and a 100 pound medicine ball) on the mattress then measured how much they compacted the top.
The variations in size, density and weight are meant to simulate distinct body parts and different sized sleepers. Dreamcloud Complaints Reviews
– 6 lb medicine ball: 1.5 inches of sinkage.
– 10 lb steel ball: 2 inches of sinkage.
– 50 lb medicine ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
– 100 lb medicine ball: 5.5 inches of sinkage.
Even though you’re likely to experience some immediate sinkage from the soft foam at the top, by the time you sink through these layers, you’ll find the wrapped coils and experience amazing support. This combo will appeal to a wide range of sleepers, but will suit stomach and back sleepers in particular.
If you’re going to share your bed with a partner and will need to utilize the entire surface area of the mattress, then it is likely to be crucial for you to consider the amount of edge support it’ll give you.
I’m especially interested to see if the DreamCloud will suffer the same fate as other compacted bed-in-a-box mattresses which fail to fulfill the edge support of more conventional innerspring versions.
Lying on my back, I felt as supported at the edge of the bed as I did at the middle. Pressing closer to the side, I felt a bit of compression due to the highest foam layers, but nothing overly dramatic.
Shifting to my side, I once again noticed compression in the foam layers, but it didn’t carry over to the coil system under. This system, along with the polyfoam edge support round the mattress, did a great job of supporting my body.
In this position, I wanted to simulate what it’d feel like to be sitting on the mattress in the morning when you are lacing up your shoes and getting ready for the day. A lot of foam mattresses undergo a lot of compression in this position, but the DreamCloud really held up fairly well.
