Mission Statement

Franklin’s Paine Skatepark Fund is a leading advocate for skateboarding in the Philadelphia region.  Skateboarding is an important component of Philadelphia’s 21st Century identity, and the need for an organization dedicated to advocating for skateboarders and the development of free, public places to skate has never been greater.

Creating free, skateable spaces; developing programs to get more kids skateboarding instead of playing video games; and making sure that Philadelphia’s skateboarding culture is appreciated and cultivated by state and local government, are key long-term goals. We are proud to have been one of the first non-profit advocacy organizations dedicated to skateboarding in the United States.
